I knew that I would enjoy this book as Sorel Kaire is a warm, caring, loving individual. What I did not expect was that the poems would make me reflect on my own feelings and actions. The poems are powerful and and sensitive. Each one made me pause, think and nurture my own ideas, beliefs, and memories. The added bonus was the novella which also stirred emotions – a woman coming into her own in a very difficult way (jail, divorce and overbearing parents) but she finds her personal power escaping the shackles. Definitely read – there is much to gain from this book.
